Some varieties have been growing for centuries, while others are still in experimental phases. For those interested in discovering where their hop ingredients come from, we proudly host an annual Proof Is In The Pour Tour – a journey through #hopcountry – USA in Yakima, Washington, which encompasses the entire production process of hops. When you attend the Proof Is In The Pour Tour, prepare for two days of high energy, hands-on experiences where you will have the opportunity to meet our growers and get a firsthand look at the facilities where your hops are cleaned and processed. Then, travel through our experimental hop yards to scratch and sniff the newest developments in our breeding program while learning about the agronomics behind variety development.

The constant evolution of hop varieties and usage makes this an exciting time to be brewing beer, and we are thrilled to have Larry L. Sidor with us for a presentation on The Craft Beer Revolution – Our Journey From The 1970s To Current Day.

Mr. Sidor comes to us with over 45 years of industry experience, having brewed a few million barrels at Olympia Brewing Company in the ’70s, followed by mass marketing a few million more at Pabst Brewing Company in the ’80s. Then, Mr. Sidor spent the ’90s overseeing the production of downstream hop products at Hopsteiner before returning his attention to brewing as Master Brewer for Deschutes Brewery. Mr. Sidor is currently crafting unique small-batch beers at Crux Fermentation Project in Bend, Oregon.
